Spanish giants Barcelona have identified an up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at Arsenal as a potential summer addition, according to reports.
The powers that be at the Camp Nou, it is understood, are eyeing a host of fresh blood over the coming months, in an effort to replenish the club’s B-team (Barca Atletic).
This comes with several high-profile members of Rafa Marquez’s squad set to depart, upon the expiration of their respective contracts.
And, according to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, one name on the wishlist in Catalunya with a view to next season comes in the form of Arsenal talent Miguel Azeez.
For those not aware, Azeez is a versatile midfielder, who spent this past season out on a pair of loans, first with UD Ibiza, and then Wigan Athletic.
And, evidently, his efforts with the former have piqued attentions back in Spain, with a proposal being readied on the part of the transfer team at Barcelona.
Barca, however, are hopeful of Arsenal allowing him to depart for free, by including a sell-on clause in the 20-year-old’s Blaugrana contract.
It now remains to be seen whether such terms are deemed agreeable by the Gunners.
