An out-of-favour member of the midfield ranks at Spanish giants Barcelona is inching towards an imminent exit, according to reports.
The player in question? Miralem Pjanic.
Bosnian international Pjanic, of course, was widely expected to seal a fresh Camp Nou departure this summer, after returning from a loan spell in Turkey with Besiktas.
It therefore came as a major surprise, upon the European transfer deadline coming and passing, to see the former Juventus man remain on the books of the Blaugrana.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday evening is anything to go by, then Pjanic, nevertheless, looks set to play out the campaign away from Catalunya’s capital.
This comes amid claims that the 32-year-old is on the verge of taking his talents to the Middle East.
In turn, negotiations between the midfielder, his current club and potential future employers have reached an advanced stage, with a three-year contract awaiting Pjanic at the Sharjah Stadium.
Barca, for their part, are expected to secure a fee in the region of €3 million if the deal goes through as planned.
