German champions Bayern Munich have taken positive steps forward in a move for an out-of-favour member of the defensive ranks at Premier League giants Chelsea, according to reports.
The player in question? Trevoh Chalobah.
As per Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio:
‘Bayern Munich are working concretely on the arrival of Chalobah from Chelsea.’
It is added that, across the day to date, the Bavarians have made ‘progress’ in their negotiations with the powers that be at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah, it is understood, has been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of Thomas Tuchel.
Italian heavyweights Inter Milan, earlier this week, struck an agreement with Bayern, over the terms of a €32 million deal for Pavard.
It was made clear to the Nerazzurri, however, that a final green light would not be forthcoming until a direct replacement had been found for the France international.
With Chalobah looking ever closer to a move to the Allianz Arena, though, Pavard, in turn, will soon be granted permission to take his talents to Serie A.
