Sasa Kalajdzic joined Stuttgart in 2019, after departing his home country of Austria.
The German outfit are believed to have paid less than 3 million pounds to land the hitman, which has since proven quite the bargain.
In 33 Bundesliga outings in 2020/21 season, the 25-year-old would score 16 goals, as well as providing six assists.
The hitman has since been impacted by a shoulder injury that kept him out for a good chunk of the previous campaign.
However, Kalajdzic has returned to action over the last few months and is getting back to his best. He netted six and assisted two in 15 league outings for his current side in 2021/22 and notched an assist in his first game of the current season last weekend.
Kalajdzic, whose current contract runs until 2023, also became a regular at international level after making his debut for Austria in October of 2020.
Interestingly, this report comes after former interim Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick, who is now the Austria national team manager, advised Kalajdzic against joining the Red Devils.
This is not the first time a former manager has tried to stop a player moving to United this year, with Louis van Gaal doing the same to Ajax and Netherlands defender Jurrin Timber earlier this summer.
