Premier League outfit Burnley have seen a considerable offer for an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Leeds United rejected, according to reports.
The subject of the Clarets’ proposal? Crysencio Summerville.
Wide-man Summerville, for his part, is fresh off something of a hit-and-miss start to the new campaign.
On Championship opening day, the Dutch talent shone bright, playing a direct hand in both of Leeds’ goals en route to a 2-2 stalemate with Cardiff City.
In turn, it came as a major blow when word was forthcoming that Summerville had suffered an injury, since not managing a single minute of league action.
Nevertheless, he is expected to play an integral role for Daniel Farke’s troops over the course of the season ahead.
This comes amid confirmation by way of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that Burnley tabled a £20 million proposal for Leeds’ gifted young attacker.
The Whites, however, ‘rejected the offer out of hand’.
