The Blues put out a Tweet on Tuesday evening, in which they confirmed an agreement with Aston Villa for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka.
“Aston Villa and Chelsea can confirm that the clubs have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka. The 18-year-old has been given permission to travel to London to discuss both personal terms and undergo a medical,” a statement said.

No potential transfer fee has been mentioned, but given Chukwuemeka is only 18 years of age, it is hard to see Villa being able to demand to high a fee.
Chukwuemeka will be Chelsea’s third signing of the summer window following the capture of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibably from Serie A outfit, Napoli.

Who is Carney Chukwuemeka?
Chukwuemeka joined Aston Villa’s youth system from Northampton Town in 2016 and has since worked his way up their youth ranks.
He netted 10 and assisted eight in 26 outings for Villa’s under-18 side before making the step up to under-23 level where he scored three and assisted five in 28.
Elsewhere, despite being born in Eisenstadt, Austria, Chukwuemeka is a regular feature for England’s youth sides, earning caps at under-17, under-18 and under-19 level.
