According to Nathan Gissing, Chelsea are lining up a move for the Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez.
The 25-year-old has been identified as a target after he struggled for regular game time at Brighton last season.
The Blues are yet to make any contact with the player’s camp and no potential transfer fee is mentioned in the report.
Sanchez joined Brighton at under-18 level from Levante. He has since featured 90 times for the Seagulls’ first team, keeping 29 clean sheets in the process.
And despite suffering an injury during the 2022/23 campaign, he still played a key role in Brighton securing their first-ever European finish.
Should Sanchez make the switch to Chelsea, it is expected he will be competing with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the no.1 spot.
Links to other keepers died down after this, but the links to Sanchez suggest Pochettino is not completely convinced by his current no.1.
