Chelsea have just seven league games remaining this season and they’re in danger of it all rather fizzling out.
Timo Werner and César Azpilicueta both equalised in a frantic first half, but the Gunners struck twice more after the break, constantly punishing charitable defending.
So, having also been beaten by Brentford and Real Madrid, Chelsea have now lost three successive home games for the first time in 28 years.
It’s also the first time the Blues have conceded 4+ in back-to-back home league games since 1989, with Wimbledon and Liverpool hammering them back then.
Despite this, Thomas Tuchel’s team remain third, but they’re now only five points clear of Arsenal and Spurs, still needing to rubber stamp their top four spot.
Of course, the majority of Chelsea’s focus now is on the FA Cup Final; they’ll meet Liverpool on 14 May having beaten Crystal Palace at Wembley last Sunday.
Before then, will Chelsea end their barren run of home defeats?
West Ham United likewise are focussed on competitions that aren’t the Premier League just now.
Having dumped out Sevilla and Olympique Lyonnais, the Hammers are through to their first European semi-final since lifting the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1976.
This Thursday, they’ll host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League’s last four, with the return leg at Deutsche Bank Park a week later.
These are, obviously, two massive occasions, but in the league David Moyes’ men have managed to cling onto a European spot for next season.
Last Sunday, the Irons came from behind to draw 1-1 with Burnley, Tomáš Souček the scorer, in a game they were unfortunate not to win.
So, West Ham have only lost three of their last ten league matches, despite juggling domestic and continental competitions.
Will the Irons infliect a fourth consecutive home defeat on their London rivals?
Chelsea team news

Romelu Lukaku in the Premier League on Wednesday for the first time since infamously only accumulating seven touches against Crystal Palace in February.
This time, the Belgian touched the ball 20 times before being taken off on the hour mark following another inauspicious display.
The man who came on for him, Kai Havertz, is likely to be back in the XI for this one.
Mason Mount and Timo Werner are the first-choice inside-forwards with the latter having scored four in his last four appearances.
Antonio Rüdiger missed the Arsenal game due to a groin injury so is a major doubt for this one.
However, having not started either of the last two, Thiago Silva could return to defence for this one.
Previously forgotten man Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to start for the eighth game in a row.
West Ham United team news

West Ham have a centre-back injury crisis right now with Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna and now Issa Diop all ruled out for the rest of the season.
This leaves Craig Dawson, nicknamed Ballon Dawson, as the only available centre-back.
Thus, it seems likely that David Moyes might switch to a back five with Vladimír Coufal and Arthur Masuaku making up the defensive numbers.
Nikola Vlašić got a rare start against Burnley but either Pablo Fornals or Saïd Benrahma will return to the attack here.
