Premier League giants Chelsea have entered into formal negotiations regarding the potential loan exit of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, it has been confirmed.
The club eyeing the once so highly-regarded shot-stopper’s signature? SSC Napoli.
As per a host of reliable sources on Saturday, Chelsea are ready to allow Kepa to depart on a temporary basis this summer, in a bid to restore his dwindling value on the transfer market.
This of course comes with Kepa having been knocked firmly down the pecking order between the posts at Stamford Bridge, owing to the continued excellence of Edouard Mendy.
Though a deal with the powers that be at Napoli has not been struck as of yet, Adam Crafton of The Athletic suggests that ‘an agreement is expected to be reached in the coming days’.

Kepa, though, is not the only high-profile name expected to be granted a loan departure from west London with a view to the 2022/23 campaign.
All of this comes with Romelu Lukaku having too been granted a return to Italy with Inter Milan, shining a spotlight on some of the more questionable big-money arrivals at Chelsea over the course of recent seasons.
