Draw & BTTS – 10/3 (bet365)

It will be Everton’s home form that determines whether they stay up or not, and against Manchester United they showed signs of more stability at the back. With Leicester in the midst of a hectic run of fixtures, they may not be firing on full cylinders so a 1-1 draw wouldn’t be a terrible result for either side.

James Maddison to score anytime, Leicester to win and BTTS – 15/2 (via Bet888)

James Maddison has been in good form recently, with five goals in his last 11 games and looks back to his best. Having been rested at the weekend, he will be itching to set the record straight and inspire the visitors to another win.

Match preview

The pressure has eased somewhat on Frank Lampard since the departure of Sean Dyche on Good Friday.

Alan Pace’s decision to sack the Burnley manager – followed by a 1-1 draw at West Ham – means the Toffees are now suddenly sitting a little more comfortably with a three-point gap from the bottom three and a game in hand – this game against Leicester.

The win over Manchester United on the ninth was a huge boost to Lampard’s side who had looked so hapless in preceding weeks, and the deflected strike of Anthony Gordon was perhaps the sort of luck needed to reverse the run of form.

But with games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester (away) to follow, they will be hoping home support can carry them to another vital three points before winnable games against Watford and Brentford.

Leicester meanwhile have just about established themselves in the top half of the table after an underwhelming season to date.

The loss to Newcastle at the weekend was perhaps predictable after the high of the dramatic 2-1 win away at PSV during the week, and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to ensure the focus of his players doesn’t shift too much with a lot still to play for this season.

Everton FC team news

The big news for Frank Lampard is that centre-back Yerry Mina is available after recovering from a thigh injury, but after keeping a clean sheet against Manchester United he might be eased back gradually.

Donny van de Beek is also fit to return but Andros Townsend, Nathan Patterson and Tom Davies remain out.

Leicester City team news

James Maddison was left out in the defeat to Newcastle but is likely to be reinstalled in the side after an underwhelming defeat in which Brendan Rodgers rotated some members of his first-choice XI.

Wesley Fofana is another who missed out but is likely to be available once again, but Jamie Vardy, Ryan Bertrand and Wilfred Ndidi are missing.
