The subject of potential reinforcements between the posts, of course, has long proven a headline talking point at Stamford Bridge.
This comes with former Chelsea no.1 Edouard Mendy having departed for the riches of Saudi Arabia, and Kepa Arrizabalaga yet to prove himself the long-term answer to the shot-stopping woes in west London.
