Premier League giants Arsenal have, on Thursday evening, confirmed that a key member of the club’s first-team setup has put pen to paper on fresh terms in north London.
The player in question? Aaron Ramsdale.
Shot-stopper Ramsdale, of course, is in the midst of another fine campaign to date.
Having long established himself as the first-choice option between the posts at The Emirates, the former Sheffield United standout has featured from the off in each and every one of Arsenal’s 36 Premier League fixtures.
Not only that, but Ramsdale’s contributions – both with his hands and feet – proved key to the Gunners’ surprise title bid, albeit one which is ultimately primed to come up short.

In turn, it should not come as a massive surprise to hear of those in a position of power on the red half of north London coming to the collective decision to tie their no.1 down for the foreseeable future.
“Our goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has signed a new long-term contract.”
Speaking on the back of Ramsdale’s new deal being confirmed, head coach Mikel Arteta expressed his delight, explaining:
“We’re all so happy that Aaron has signed a new contract. The way Aaron has developed over the past two years has been exceptional, with his performances, contribution and overall adaptation to the club.
“It’s great that we’re continuing to build our future with our biggest talents in our young squad. We’re all looking forward to enjoying many more years of Aaron the player and the person at the football club.”
He’s a keeper 🧤
