As 101 covered on Sunday, Premier League giants Chelsea have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ over the signing of AS Monaco and France centre-back, Axel Disasi.
David Ornstein of The Athletic reported that the deal has been struck for a fee in the region of €45 million (£38.6m).
Disasi is an excellent centre-back and will improve the Blues’ backline, whilst giving it a much younger feel. The Frenchman will also be able to reunite with former Monaco centre-back partner, Benoit Badiashile.
The move is seemingly noy good news for one Chelse star, however.
The Evening Standard report that Trevoh Chalobah is ready to leave Chelsea after the club agreed a £38.6million deal to sign Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile are already ahead of Chalobah in the Chelsea pecking order and the player wants more regular football as he targets a place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024 next summer.
