Manchester United have won 37 Premier League games against Everton, only beating Tottenham (38) more often in the competition. The Toffees have only lost one of their last six league matches against Man United, their best run since the early ’90s. However, the Blues are looking for back-to-back home wins for the first time since September.

Both teams to score is 3/4.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is 6/5.

Manchester United to win and over 2.5 goals is 7/4.

Bruno Fernandes is looking to become the first Man United player to score in three successive appearance at Goodison since Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2004. Fernandes is 6/1 to break the deadlock and 15/8 to score anytime.

Match preview

The two biggest under-achievers in the Premier League this season meet on Merseyside.

On Wednesday night, the Toffees faced relegation rivals Burnley in an absolutely pivotal game.

It started catastrophically with Burnley taking a seven minute lead but, by half time, Everton were 2-1 up thanks to a pair of Richarlison penalties.

But, once again, terrible defending cost Everton with Burnley equalising on the hour mark before winning it three minutes from time.

That defeat means Frank Lampard’s side remain just one point above the relegation zone but the Clarets are now just one point below them.

Given that Burnley travel to bottom of the table Norwich on Sunday, it’s very possible that the Blues will end the weekend in the bottom three.

After this, the Toffees will have just eight games remaining, including matches against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and two dates with Leicester.

It does not get any easier and Lampard could become the first manager since Cliff Britton in 1951 to take Everton down.

Back then, 71 years ago, Manchester United finished second in the First Division, but, these days, they find themselves down in seventh.

Last Saturday, Ralf Rangnick’s side were actually very lucky not to lose to Leicester at Old Trafford.

The Foxes’ lead was short lived, with Fred firing home an equaliser, before the visitors, controversially, had a second go-ahead goal chalked off by VAR.

This 1-1 draw means the Red Devils have only won one of their last four, so are now three points below both Tottenham and Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag might be arriving in Manchester in the summer, but it’s looking increasingly unlikely he’ll be taking over a Champions League club.

Which crisis club will prevail at Goodison?

Everton team news

Nathan Patterson, Yerry Mina, Donny van de Beek, André Gomes and Andros Townsend all remain out injured.

In better news, both Michael Keane and Allan are available again following one and three-match suspensions respectively.

Allan will return in midfield, alongside Abdoulaye Doucouré, with Mason Holgate therefore becoming a defensive option.

Séamus Coleman was only on the bench on Wednesday, after missing the West Ham game due to illness, but is likely to displace Jonjoe Kenny at right-back.

Dele has made just six appearances since joining in January, only starting once, and the latter isn’t likely to change here.

In attack, Richarlison will be aiming for his first goal at Goodison since December, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t scored anywhere since August.

Will Everton claim a priceless victory?

Manchester United team news

Unlike their hosts, Ralf Rangnick’s team have had a week to prepare for this one so need to make that advantage count.

Cristiano Ronaldo missed the draw with Leicester due to illness but will surely return, looking to add to his four goals against Everton.

Compatriot Bruno Fernandes has an amazing record against the Toffees, scoring four times and providing two assists in just four league games against them.

He’ll surely return to his more familiar midfield role, flanked by Anthony Elanga and Jadon Sancho, with Marcus Rashford remaining on the bench.

Further back, Raphaël Varane, Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw are all out injured.
