- Out: William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Mohamed Elneny, Takehiro Tomiyasu
- Doubt: N/A
News that Arsenal is set to be without BOTH Oleksander Zinchenko and William Saliba after the Ukrainian star was ruled out for the rest of the season earlier today is hardly the news that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would have wanted to receive in the run-up to a tricky weekend clash with high-flying Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.
With Manchester City still heavily engaged on the continent in the semi-finals of the Champions League, there is still an outside chance that Arsenal can wrestle control of the Premier League back in their possession if City hit a wall either related to performance or tired legs, but missing half of their preferred back four will be a huge blow when a Seagulls outfit under Roberto De Zerbi will be determined to set the record straight after being thrashed by Everton in a 5-1 loss last time out.
Added to the absences of Saliba and Zinchenko, Arteta also remains bereft of the services of Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu, though neither player would come into the XI if they were fit. Arteta should be expected to keep the same team that ran out winners against Newcastle United, with Kieran Tierney replacing Zinchenko.
