The player in question is FC Barcelona and Brazil star, Raphinha.
A report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Chelsea are interested in signing the Brazilian winger Raphinha during the summer transfer window.
Newly appointed Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be keen on the South American.
No transfer fee is mentioned in the report but Raphinha has a contract at the Camp Nou until 2027 and is valued at €60m by transfermarket.com – suggesting he will not come cheap.
Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United last summer and had a decent debut campaign in Spain, which saw La Blaugrana win La Liga.
He scored seven and assisted seven in 36 league outings for the Spanish side, netting 10 and assisting 12 in all competitions.
The west Londoners already have a plethora of young, attacking talents and recently confirmed a move for Christopher Nkunku.
As a result, signing a midfielder and striker may be more pressing for them right now.
