Match preview

To say both managers need a victory would be an understatement.

Between them, in 12 attempts, these two clubs have won just once this season, leaving both bosses under serious pressure.

Leicester City in fact kick off rock bottom of the Premier League and are one of just two clubs in the division yet to taste victory, alongwith Everton.

Last Sunday, despite leading after just 44 seconds through Kelechi Ịheanachọ, the Foxes were eventually dismantled 5-2 by Brighton & Hove Albion.

Luke Thomas scored an unfortunate own goal, before Patson Daka made it 2-2 on the stroke of half time, only for the Seagulls to run riot in the second 45.

This means Leicester have now lost five successive matches, since drawing with Brentford on the opening weekend, a game in which they were 2-0 up in.

Steven Gerrard meantime has only had 35 matches in charge of Aston Villa, but he too is under serious scrutiny.

The Villans lost three games on the bounce, before last weekend’s excellent performance and result against Manchester City.

Despite falling behind, Leon Bailey ensured Villa earned a 1-1 draw and it could’ve been more; Philippe Coutinho’s potential winner wrongly disallowed for offside.

This point saw the Claret and Blue Army climb out of the bottom three and should give them some confidence ahead of this Midlands derby.

Who will claim three humungous points at the King Power Stadium?
