Match preview

Leicester City head into the new Premier League season as the only club yet to make a new signing.

The Foxes have failed to move many players on and have subsequently been unable to add to their squad.

They have however lost their number one, with Kasper Schmeichel leaving for Nice.

Brendan Rodgers’ side did have a big drop-off in the league last season, although they did have Europe to contend with.

Rodgers will be hoping his team can do much better in the league this year with just league and cup competitions to worry about.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s opponents Brentford have enjoyed a very successful transfer window bringing in some exciting young talents from around Europe.

Winger Keane Lewis-Potter has also been brought in, whilst Mikel Daamsgaard is close to joining too.

They have also snapped up experienced players such as Thomas Strakosha and Ben Mee on free transfers.

Most notably though, they were unable to re-sign Christain Eriksen and that could be a big issue.

The Dane had a major impact on the team last year and was a large influence in them staying in the top flight.

Frank will be hoping his new additions can hit the ground quickly and allow the Bees to move on from Eriksen.
