The best team from Arsenal and Manchester United’s current players.

The weekend’s premier clash in the English top-flight sees Arsenal play host to Manchester United.

Both sides are vying for a spot in the top-four this season with Arsenal also probably having some title aspirations.

And with neither side having the perfect start to the campaign, it should be an interesting affair.

Here is 101GreatGoals’ combined XI for the match.

Arsenal & Manchester United combined XI

GK: Aaron Ramsdale – Ramsdale and Andre Onana seem fairly evenly matched, with both decent shot-stoppers and good with the ball at their feet but both are also prone to a mistake. As Ramsdale has proven himself more in the Premier League, he takes the spot.

CB: William Saliba – One of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League, nobody can deny Saliba is head and shoulders above any other centre-back from either side.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – Martinez and Gabriel are also both fairly evenly matched when it comes to defending, but Martinez takes the spot as he is a bit better at playing out from the back.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – Man United have little to no options at left-back currently due to injuries, meaning Zinchenko is an easy pick.

CM: Declan Rice – Despite Rice playing in a slightly different role this season, he has still been a better defensive option than Casemiro, whose early season form is no doubt a concern for Man United fans.

CM: Martin Odegaard – Much like 2022/23, Odegaard has been one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League so far this season.

CM: Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United’s Martin Odegaard equivalent is Bruno Fernandes who has been in solid form early this term but has been let down by United’s overall struggles up top.

RW: Bukayo Saka – Saka already has two goals from three Premier League games this season, with none of Man United’s right-wing options coming close to the level of the Englishman.

ST: Eddie Nketiah – As Manchester United currently have no striking option fit and Gabriel Jesus has only played a few minutes this season, Nketiah earns the no.9 spot with two goals scored already this season.

LW: Marcus Rashford – Rashford and Gabriel Martinelli have both been far from their best in the early stages of 2023/24 but as Rashford was arguably better across the previous campaign, he takes the left-wing place.
