Marseille loanee Nuno Tavares has been kicked out of a training session by Croatian manager Igor Tudor, L’Équipe have revealed.
Tudor, when speaking about the commitment he requires from his players during training last week, admitted that, as of last week, a then-unnamed Marseille player was shown the way to the dressing room because he ‘was not making efforts’.
And whilst not confirmed, there seems to be a good chance that it was in fact, Tavares.
As well as falling out of favour in France, the 23-year-old seemingly has little hope of a future at Arsenal.
Tavares spent some time as a regular fixture in the Gunners’ set-up under Mikel Arteta.
However, after showcasing his defensive frailties, he was loaned to Marseille for 2022/23.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is Arsenal’s current no.1 left-back, with Kieran Tierney a close second to the Ukraine international.
