Everton are looking into a deal which would see Idrissa Gueye return to Merseyside.
The Senegalese left the Toffees to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.
The 32-year-old has fallen out of favour at the French champions and is now looking to leave the Parc des Princes.

L’Equipe report that Everton have made initial contact with the entourage of Idrissa Gueye to find out the feasibility of a return.
The midfielder has said that he is happy to remain at PSG for the final year of his contract.
He does want assurances though that he will get game time next season under new manager, Christophe Galtier.
Galatasaray made an approach to sign him, but he opted to reject this offer.
The Toffees have now also made their approach in case to see if they will give them a different answer.
PSG are open to letting him leave.

Everton have confirmed their second summer signing in Dwight Mcneil from Burnley.
The winger signs for the Toffees in a deal worth a reported £20 million.
He joins James Tarwoski in heading through the door at Goodison Park this summer.
The 22-year-old could soon be joined by his former Burnley teammate .
