In the summer, Tottenham Hotspur are planning to finally replace Hugo Lloris.
The 36-year-old has now been in north London for over 11 years and has been one of the world’s best shot-stoppers.
However, this season his form has been pretty poor, and has made more errors leading to a goal (4) than any other player in the Premier League this season.
There is now an acceptance that his time at the top is over and the time to replace him is now.

Giorgi Mamardashvili
Tottenham have been following Giorgi Mamardashvili for several seasons now.
He signed for Valencia back in January 2022 and has established himself as the club’s number one.
Mamardashvili has a reported €100 million release clause, but given Valencia’s financial issues, he could be available for much less.
Robert Sánchez
Robert Sánchez has become one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League over the last two seasons.
The Spaniard will have two years left on his contract in the summer and could be available for a decent price.
Having joined Brighton at 15, he is also considered homegrown making him even more appealing to Spurs.
David Raya
David Raya is a player Spurs have been following for a while and were linked with before they signed Pierluigi Gollini on loan.
Like with Sánchez, his contract is also coming to an end, but in the summer he will have just 12 months left.
He’s reportedly rejected two contract renewal offers from Brentford and will therefore likely be available to leave soon.
Mike Maignan
Mike Maignan is expected to also replace Hugo Lloris for the French national team.
An injury stopped him from going to the World Cup where he had a great chance of being the French number one.
He has now won the Ligue 1 title with Lille and Serie A with AC Milan, making him one of the best shot-stoppers in Europe.
