Barcelona’s supporters have taken to social media in their numbers on Thursday, to unveil their frustrations with head coach Xavi Hernandez.

The Blaugrana were of course back in action a short time ago.

After Clasico rivals Real Madrid booked their spot in the Spanish Super Cup finale 24 hours ago, Xavi guided his troops into a meeting with Real Betis, eyeing their own place in Sunday’s showpiece.

And, when all was said and done in Riyadh, this is precisely what Barca went on to do.

After an entertaining affair finished at two goals apiece, an ensuing penalty shootout saw Marc-Andre ter Stegen prove the hero, courtesy of two spot-kick saves.

As alluded to above, though, despite their side’s eventual advancement, many of a Barcelona persuasion were less than happy with one key member of the club’s setup post-match on Thursday.

After being left bemused by the substitutions made use of by their boss en route to handing Betis a way back into the game, the Blaugrana’s fanbase were not at all shy in taking aim at Xavi post-match.
