An update on the future of Brentford star Ivan Toney has come to the fore on Thursday evening.
The name of hitman Toney, of course, has long taken its place front and centre in the headlines across the English media.
This comes amid interest in the services of the 27-year-old on the part of a whole host of the Premier League’s top clubs.
Toney, for his part, is suspended at present, owing to a series of breaches of the FA’s rules and regulations surrounding betting.
If the latest word doing the rounds on Thursday is anything to go by, though, then it would appear that the England international is already planning for his return to the pitch.
In a blow for Brentford, though, such plans come with a view to an imminent transfer away from the Gtech Community Stadium.
‘Ivan Toney plan remains clear: try new, different opportunity in 2024 as he signed with new agents, represented by Stellar.’
It is also added that capital heavyweights Arsenal and Chelsea ‘are both informed on potential conditions of the deal for January or summer’.
It now remains to be seen if Toney has a preference between the two clubs.
