On-loan Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has, on Saturday, provided a brief insight into the chances of his Tottenham Hotspur FC stay extending beyond next summer.
Frenchman Lenglet, of course, swapped Catalunya for north London during the summer, in linking up with Antonio Conte’s Spurs for the season ahead.
The former Sevilla star has since gone on to enjoy a somewhat underwhelming stint in England’s capital, though.
This comes with new boss Conte having afforded Lenglet starts in just three of the Lilywhites’ 11 Premier League fixtures.
To his credit, the 27-year-old has fared better in Europe, en route to a trio of starting berths in the Champions League’s group stages.
But, nevertheless, speculation regarding Lenglet’s future in Spurs colours has continued to swirl.

Lenglet, though, opted to remain coy on as much.
After first reiterating that his loan deal at Tottenham does not include an option to buy, the 15-time capped French international hinted that an extended spell of positive form could see the situation change:
“Maybe if everything is okay, we will speak”, he explained.
