Veteran Spanish international full-back Jordi Alba is the latest European name locked in a transfer tug-of-war between Major League Soccer and the Roshn Saudi League, according to reports from football insider Fabrizio Romano.
Alba, 34, has just one year left on his current terms at Spotify Camp Nou and fits the profile of footballer that the top-flight competitions in both the United States and Saudi Arabia have been targeting this summer.

Romano’s report on Twitter details active negotiations between Alba and Inter Miami, in what would see a reunion between the Spaniard and former Barcelona colleague Lionel Messi, after the Argentine legend recently chose a move to South Beach over Saudi outfit Al-Hilal.
Miami has also reportedly been keen on moves for Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Angel Di Maria as well, while Saudi Arabia has added Karim Benzema to Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence in the Gulf kingdom. French veteran N’Golo Kanté looks primed to join them as well, while the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Hakim Ziyech are just two of a host of names that the nation’s top domestic clubs are rumored to be after.
Alba is one of a number of targets for the biggest Saudi clubs at current, too, with two un-named proposals for the Catalan-born defender being floated.
No immediate decision is expected from Alba, however, and there remains a chance that he will opt to run down his deal at Barça, albeit a small one on account of the likely massively increased wage packet he would be in line to receive from either camp.
