Spanish giants Barcelona are preparing a big-money offer for Athletico Paranaense sensation Vitor Roque, according to reports.

For those not aware, attacker Roque is widely considered to be one of the finest up-and-coming talents in his home country of Brazil.

This comes with the frontman, since being snapped up by the aforementioned Athletico last summer, having gone on to enjoy a fruitful first year at the Arena da Baixada.

Despite having only turned 18 back in February, Roque has already established himself as a first-team regular, boasting a fine record of 15 direct goal contributions in 25 appearances thus far this term.

Such impressive form has translated to the international stage, too, with the former Cruzeiro talent having already been afforded his full Brazil bow, after finding the net eight times in eleven outings at U20 level.

In turn, recent reports, confirming mounting interest in Roque’s services from clubs across Europe, have come as little surprise.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday evening is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana, now, are ready to make their move.

The info comes by way of Brazilian journalist Joaquim Piera, who has confirmed that a first round of negotiations between the powers that be at Barca, and their counterparts at Athletico, today took place.

Not only that, but the outcome is understood to have been a ‘positive’ one.

The transfer team at the Camp Nou, in turn, are preparing an opening offer for Roque, consisting of a guaranteed €30 million, along with a further €5 million in add-ons.
