Jurgen Klopp had plenty to say in his press conference on Friday.
The Athletic reported on Thursday that Bayern Munich and Liverpool had agreed a fixed fee of €40m for Netherlands international Ryan Gravenberch to move to Anfield.
The 21-year-old then underwent medical checks on Friday ahead of signing a five-year deal with the Premier League club.
He is expected to join Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo as new midfield additions for Jurgen Klopp this summer.
However, when asked about the midfielder on Friday morning, Klopp said: “We cannot talk about that because nothing has really happened yet. If something happens then we can talk about it on Sunday.”
Klopp also hinted at a centre-back signing when confirming Ibrahima Konate is out for the weekend: “It’s deadline day so I don’t want to kill the excitement of the people so you never know. But I’m busy today with other things. If we could bring in a centre-half for a weekend I’d think about it! Ibou, no (he’s out).”
