Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for midfielder Azzedine Ounahi this January following his sparkling form in the heart of midfield for Morocco in the 2022 World Cup.
Ounahi has shot to prominence alongside Sofyan Amrabat in the Atlas Lions’ engine room, with the Angers midfielder more than holding his own against first the Spanish and then the Portuguese midfield as Morocco knocked both European giants out on their way to their historic semi-final berth, where they will take on France.
And his form has caught the eye of plenty, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that Barcelona are among the clubs chasing the 23-year-old midfielder in what they feel could be a cut-price deal in January.

Speaking about potential moves in January, Angers president Said Chabane has refused to rule out any potential departures for his World Cup stars this January.
“We are preparing for everything, we had a meeting this afternoon with the coach and the sports coordinator to try to weigh all possible scenarios and not end up in the water if it were to happen (…) You know very well that you can never stop a player who wants to leave (…)”, he explained.
Barcelona have previously hinted that they will not be undertaking any January business, but with the future of Franck Kessie still unclear and Ounahi potentially available for as little as £10m, it could well prove an opportunity too good to pass up to strengthen their squad without breaking the bank.
