According to Spanish journalist Xavi Jorquera Márquez, Liverpool have put a €40m bid ‘on the table’ for Villarreal wonderkid Pino.

Márquez tweeted: “Villarreal have received two offers from two Premier League teams for Yeremy Pino.

“Those clubs are Arsenal and Liverpool.

“Both have put €40m (£33.8m) on the table. Villarreal asks €60m (£50.7m).”

Who is Yeremy Pino?

Pino joined Villarreal’s youth system back in 2019, leaving CD Roda.

He has since gone on to notch 77 outings in all competitions for the Spanish outfit despite being only 19 years of age.

Pino’s displays for Villarreal have also earned him call-ups to the Spanish national side already. He made his debut on October 6, 2021 and has since notched a further three appearances, scoring one goal.

Pino is a right-winger by trade, but he is also capable of playing on the left or through the middle.

This would make him a great signing for both Liverpool and Arsenal. Liverpool sold Takumi Minamino earlier this summer, leaving them with very limited back-up for Mohamed Salah on the right.

As for Arsenal, they are keen to move Nicolas Pepe on and would therefore need to sign another player to provide cover for Bukayo Saka.

Pino is under contract with Villarreal until 2027.
