Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to continue his excellent record against Pep Guardiola as he takes his new Bayern Munich side to the Etihad to take on Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The German arrived in Bavaria in the March international break following the dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann, but faces his toughest test against a Manchester City side widely tipped to go all the way in the Champions League this season, with the pair set to face off in the last 8 of the competition.
Though regularly second best to Guardiola during his time at Borussia Dortmund, Tuchel enjoyed an excellent record in cup competitions with Chelsea, beating the Spaniard in the Champions League final in 2020, as well as knocking them out of the FA Cup in the same season.
He will be hoping that his impressive record continues with his latest club.

German Champions Bayern Munich have confirmed that they will be without star striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for the trip to Manchester on Tuesday, posing a dilemma for Thomas Tuchel about who he fields in attack.
Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer and Theo Hernandez are both out for the remainder of the season through various injuries sustained either side of the new year.
Joao Cancelo, on loan from Manchester City, will be able to feature however. The Portuguese defender left City in January for the German side, but unlike the Premier League will not be cup-tied against his parent club, with sources confirming that no clause exists to stop him featuring.
