French international Benjamin Pavard could potentially be off to greener pastures in the summer after the 26-year-old Bayern Munich defender opened up on the possibility of a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Pavard spoke to L’Équipe recently while discussing his current situation in Bavaria with the Bundesliga champions, refusing to rule out jet-setting off to a new destination in the near future.

The former VfB Stuttgart standout was named in Didier Deschamps’ 26-man squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is in line to possibly start at right-back come Les Bleus’ opening match of the tournament, but his future at Bayern remains up in the air despite still being viewed as a valuable piece under Julian Nagelsmann.
Despite a recent lack of minutes under Nagelsmann, Pavard still has accrued the fifth-most minutes of any Bayern player this season, which makes for a difficult conversation for the Maubeuge native and leaves him in a bit of a bind in terms of playing for a club of the state of Bayern but the recent selection trend suggesting that he could possibly be on the downswing when it comes to the long-term squad planning at Sabener Straße.
Recent links with interest in Pavard stemming from the Premier League would surely open up a multitude of financially irresistible pathways should he want to test himself in a new country.
Pavard was already the subject of interest from outside forces this past summer after Manchester United had expressed the possibility of making a move for the French international, while a possible escape route to Stamford Bridge could also offer up a viable destination should his future be away from the Rekordmeister.
