As per Italian outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Japanese midfielder, Daichi Kamada.
The 26-year-old Bundesliga midfielder will be a free agent in the summer and Liverpool are hoping to snap him up on a free.
However, Liverpool do look set to face some heavy competition from AC Milan. Reports earlier this week suggested that AC Milan were close to a deal and were preparing for a medical to be done.
And unlike Liverpool, AC Milan will have Champions League football for the 2023/24 season, with Liverpool only playing Europa League football.
Should Liverpool get a move over the line for Kamada, though, it would go a long way to replacing Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who are all set to leave Anfield on free transfers this summer.
Kamada has featured 46 times for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, scoring 16 and assisting seven, largely from a central midfield position.
