The player in question is Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch.
The 20-year-old Dutchman joined Bayern at the start of the previous season in a deal worth around €25m, but he has found it difficult to hold down a regular starting spot under Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel.
Gravenberch made 24 Bundesliga appearances for the German outfit last season, but none of those lasted 90 minutes. In fact, he notched just 559 minutes of league action across the 2022/23 campaign.
The midfielder has also managed just nine minutes of action across the opening two game weeks of 2023/24.
And given he still needs to develop as a player, it would be smart for Gravenberch to move clubs.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the Dutchman throughout the summer and both still need extra legs in midfield.
