Liverpool have been handed a major transfer boost in their hunt for midfield talent Jude Bellingham as Borussia Dortmund president Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that ‘nothing is decided’ and that so far, there are ‘absolutely no proposals’, leaving the door open for the Reds to swoop in.
Rumours had been circulating in recent days that a deal with Real Madrid was edging nearer, with Los Blancos desperate to add the English sensation to their ranks this summer. While various figures had been cited, the general idea was the same; Bellingham was to be the next Galactico.

The Dortmund man, who has shone this season in the centre of midfield for the German club, further raised his profile with a series of excellent outings at the World Cup for Gareth Southgate and England, scoring the first goal of the tournament for the Three Lions and producing a great performance in the round of 16 tie against Senegal to help them to a quarter-final, where they were ultimately beaten by France.
And Liverpool hold a longstanding interest in the star, though they will have to fight off significant interest from both Madrid and Manchester City, who are also looking to refresh their midfield.
No offers have been tabled yet, however, with a summer bidding war set to break out, Kehl suggested.
“There are no offers at all for Jude Bellingham as of now, nothing is decided”, he told German outlet Kicker.
Dortmund are ready to make the 19-year-old their top earner, extending his contract in the process, but are unclear as to what Bellingham’s plans for his own future are. At present, he is valued at 150m euros by the German club, though that could continue to rise as he progresses.
