101 covered reports earlier this week which claimed Liverpool are exploring a deal to sign RB Leipzig attacker Dominik Szoboszlai.
It was reported the Reds met with 22-year-old’s representatives this week with a view to a transfer in the summer.
However, if Liverpool want to pay a reasonable fee for the attacking midfielder, they need to act fast.
According to Paul Joyce of The Times, RB Leipzig are bracing themselves for a potential surge of late interest in Dominik Szoboszlai.
Liverpool and Newcastle United are interested in the attacking midfielder, who currently has a release clause that would allow him to leave for a set price in the region of £60m.
However, the clause expires today, meaning interested parties could face paying a higher fee should they wait.
Given Liverpool did not sign Jude Bellingham because of the high transfer price, it is hard to see them paying more than the £60m+ fee they currently have to for Szoboszlai.
