An out-of-contract Liverpool player could come up against Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Arabian league next season after receiving a ‘huge offer’ from the Middle East, according to reports.
Roberto Firmino recently announced he would be leaving the Reds at the end of this season when his contract expires.
Elsewhere, a number of other stars such as James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are also currently set to depart Anfield in June, though none of said trio have confirmed their exits like Firmino.
And now, Football Insider have provided an update on Firmino’s future, claiming the Brazilian has received a ‘huge offer’ from Saudi Arabia to play in their top-flight.
This could, of course, result in Firmino coming up against former Manchester United rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East.
Alternatively, as the teams interested in Firmino are not revealed, we could also see Firmino playing alongside Ronaldo in 2023/24.
