Manchester United completed the £47.2m signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan last month.

The Cameroon star joins Manchester United on the back of David de Gea leaving the club for free at the expiration of his last contract.

Onana has previously worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax and it seems the keeper is already impressing some of his new teammates.

Luke Shaw has been discussing the shot-stopper and praised Onana for his composure when building out from the back:

“They’re very different keepers,” the United left-back told Sky Sports when comparing Onana and De Gea.

“First and foremost David last season, and the seasons he was here, he was amazing. Massive legend to this club, won the Golden Glove last season. We’re sad to see him go, but we wish him the best and hope it goes well.

“He suits the exact way the manager wants, I’ve been really impressed so far.”

David de Gea struggled to play out from the back under Ten Hag and this impacted United’s displays last season.
