Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool have both initiated fresh contact with their counterparts at Bayern Munich, over a potential swoop for a highly-regarded young member of the Bavarians’ ranks.
The player in question? Ryan Gravenberch.
For those not aware, Gravenberch, a gifted Dutch international, was once regarded as one of the finest young talents emerging from the Eredivisie.
Since swapping Ajax for the aforementioned Bayern last year, however, the 21-year-old’s progress has stalled, giving rise to suggestions that the Bavarians could simply cut their losses ahead of next season.
A whole host of clubs from across the continent, in turn, are understood to have made contact with the powers that be at the Allianz Arena, over the possibility of bringing Gravenberch in.
And, as alluded to above, this week, two such clubs to have done so earlier in the summer have touched base with the German champions once more.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Manchester United and Liverpool called again this week to be informed about Ryan Gravenberch situation.’
Bayern, however, made clear to both parties once more that they simply have ‘no intention to sell Gravenberch’, ready to count on the midfielder for the season ahead.
Nevertheless, United and Liverpool alike remain attentive to the situation.
