A fresh insight into the ongoing saga surrounding the future of Ajax star and Manchester United target Antony has been provided on Saturday evening.
The name of wide-man Antony, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media headlines once more over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming in the media that the aforementioned Man United, long-term suitors of the Brazilian, had tabled a mammoth offer for his services.
The board at The Johan Cruyff Arena, though, remained defiant in opting to knock the proposal back.
Antony himself, in turn, opted to take matters into his own hands, making use of renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano to send a public transfer plea to his current employers.
“I’m not asking Ajax to release me, I’m asking Ajax to sell me with the highest bid ever for Eredivisie player. I’ve been insisting on this theme since February so that the club could rebuild the team with peace of mind”, the 22-year-old explained.
