Leicester City head coach Brenadn Rodgers has, on Saturday, spoken out over his position on the club’s bench.
The name of Northern Irish tactician Rodgers, of course, has made its way back into the headlines once more this evening.
This comes after the Foxes were condemned to their latest alarming defeat, on this occasion at the hands of Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
After heading in at the interval locked on terms with their favourited hosts at two goals apiece, Leicester collapsed in shambolic fashion in the 2nd-half, to eventually slip to a 6-2 defeat in north London.

Their latest alarming result means that the Foxes, with seven games on the board, remain glued to the foot of the Premier League table.
This comes owing to an embarrassing haul of just a solitary point secured, and a hefty 22 goals conceded.
Once such a beloved figure at the King Power Stadium, calls have begun to mount of late for the ex-Liverpool boss to be sent on his way, in a bid to turn Leicester’s season around before the situation completely spirals out of control.
And, if his latest comments are anything to go by, then it appears that Rodgers himself would not be at all surprised by such a decision being made.
“I don’t know [if I’ll be backed],” the 49-year-old explained. “I’ll respect whatever the decision is. I think if you saw the first half you’ll see the confidence and attacking play. It’s just about cutting out the mistakes. We’ve had some tough games.”
“The international break has probably come at a good time to reset everything. The owners will do what they feel they need to do. I’m not daft, I know football. I know how it looks with six defeats in a row.”
