Manchester City completed the signing of Croatia centre-back Josko Gvardiol on a five-year deal from RB Leipzig for £77m last weekend.
Before that, the Sky Blues signed Matteo Kovacic from Chelsea for £30m, seemingly as a replacement for Ilkay Gundogan who left on a free for FC Barcelona at the end of June.
However, reports on Wednesday morning suggest Man City are not yet finished in the 2023 summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Manchester City are exploring a deal to sign West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
It is added that City are yet to make a formal offer for the 25-year-old but the Sky Blues hold a firm interest in the Brazil international as Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to strengthen their midfield. West Ham, though, do not want to sell Paqueta, which makes sense given they have already lost Declan Rice to Arsenal this summer.
Paqueta scored five and assisted seven in 43 games in all competitions for the Hammers last season.
