Brentford Team News

  • Out: Kristoffer Ajer, Vitaly Janelt, Keane Lewis-Potter
  • Doubt: Frank Onyeka

Bees boss Thomas Frank will have little to change at the weekend against Newcastle United in the wake of their lopsided 1-0 loss at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Wednesday night, across a 2022-23 Premier League season that can still end in a way that dreams are made of as the London outfit remains with an outside chance of qualifying for European football for the first time in their history.

The Danish tactician remains without a trio of senior squad members as Kristoffer Ajer, and Keane Lewis-Potter is sure to miss out on selection due to injury, while German midfielder Vitaly Janelt is thought to still be absent but could make a late recovery to be included on the bench. Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka will likely be set to also feature on the bench despite a thigh problem, so expect an identical XI at the Gtech Stadium as was fielded yesterday against the Red Devils.
