Brighton Team News
- Out: Adam Lallana, Jeremy Sarmiento, Tariq Lamptey, Jakub Moder, Joël Veltman
- Doubt: Pascal Groß, Evan Ferguson
Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton train continues to steam toward the end of the 2022-23 Premier League season after the Seagulls exacted revenge against Manchester United yesterday in a 1-0 win at the AMEX, putting to bed their recent FA Cup semi-finals loss against the Red Devils. That result, on the back of a late Alexis Mac Allister penalty in the dying embers of stoppage time, now see’s the Italian tactician on the cusp of offering European football to the south coast club for the first time in their history.
On paper, Brighton should hardly struggle with Everton coming to town given the state of affairs on the blue side of Stanley Park, and there are not expected to be many changes to the team that took all three points off Erik ten Hag’s men.
De Zerbi remains without Adam Lallana, Jeremy Sarmiento, Tariq Lamptey, Jakub Moder, and Joël Veltman for the clash, with questions still surrounding German midfielder Pascal Groß and Irish starlet Evan Ferguson. Both failed to feature against United but may be afforded some measure of involvement if they pass fit for the occasion though they would unlikely be thrust into the XI.
