Belgian international forward Yannick Carrasco has become the latest attacking player to pop up on the radar screen at Old Trafford this summer as Manchester United has now cast its eye on the Atlético Madrid star.
The 28-year-old Belgian international has figured prominently at the Cívitas Metropolitano under Diego Simeone since his arrival from Chinese Super League side Dalian Pro FC during the January window of the 2019-20 season on loan before a full move in the summer of 2020 led him to establishing himself as a key figure under the Argentine.
But Carrasco, a former academy graduate from KRC Genk, could be set for a move away from the Spanish capital after reports from The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath and Jason Burt have credited the Red Devils with interest in the Vilvoorde native late in the window.

Carrasco is reportedly available for £25m this summer after Atléti would be willing to part ways with the Belgian if their financial terms were met despite him appearing forty-four times last season for Colchoneros while scoring six goals, all of which came in La Liga.
The fee involved would certainly be much more attractive from a United standpoint after the club has entered serious negotiations for Real Madrid’s Casemiro today, with the Red Devils scrambling to secure attacking reinforcements for Erik ten Hag this summer.
Thus far, United has most recently shown interest in Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic and Wolves star Pedro Neto after Anthony Martial went down with a hamstring injury in conjunction with the growing likelihood that Cristiano Ronaldo will push for an exit this summer in addition to the future of Marcus Rashford remaining in doubt.
Carrasco’s tactical versatility could certainly come in handy for Ten Hag, who currently can also look at Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga as wide options despite the question marks surrounding Ronaldo and Rashford in a summer that looks set for drastic upheaval.
