Brighton have had a superb 2022/23 campaign and their spot in the Europa Conference League has been secured, meaning the Seagulls will have European football for the first time in their history next season.

However, they are still officially not in the Europa League. Brighton sit 6th in the table with two games to play and are three points above Aston Villa in 7th.

Villa only have one game left of their season and currently have a 16-worse goal difference. As a result, even if Brighton lose to Manchester City, they will still probably end up in the top-six.
