A head-turning statistic, highlighting the extent of Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes’ creative brilliance over the length of the campaign, has come to the fore on Sunday evening.
United, and Fernandes, of course, were back in action earlier today.
In their final league outing of the term, Erik ten Hag’s troops welcomed Fulham to Old Trafford, in the knowledge that an eventual victory would see them guaranteed of a third-placed finish.
And, when all was said and done, emerge triumphant is precisely what United went on to do.
Owing to strikes on the part of Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes, the evening’s hosts put Fulham to the sword by two goals to one.
2-1 Manchester United.

As alluded to above, though, post-match, it was not the exploits of match-winner Fernandes which took their place centre stage online.
As revealed by statisticians Opta, after adding to his tally once more on Sunday, Fernandes set a new Manchester United club record.
The midfielder’s total of 119 chances created marks the most racked up by a Red Devils star in a single Premier League season since records began all the way back in 2003-04.
