Manchester United continues to spin the transfer wheel of fortune this summer as the Red Devils struggle to make headway down any avenue of reinforcement for the senior squad under new boss Erik ten Hag.
Rumors of possible new ownership at Old Trafford after British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe put his name into the ring with the intent of taking on a small ownership stake will certainly bolster fan hope that there still could be light at the end of the tunnel before the transfer window shuts in just under two weeks, but the Red Devils could target other opportunities for little or no cost before that, namely Chelsea and United States winger Christian Pulisic.
According to reports by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, United are one of four clubs that have cast their eye on the versatile American forward this summer after Pulisic has become frustrated by a lack of minutes under Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.
News #Pulisic: Yes, #MUFC, #NUFC, Juve & Atlético are in. But no verbal agreement with any club. @ManUtd is interesting him for him but there is no offer. Tuchel wants to keep him but he wants to play regularly. Preferably at #CFC. A loan is more likely than sale. @SkySportDE 🇺🇸

Though Pulisic truly broke out under Tuchel during their joint spell at Borussia Dortmund, the Pennsylvania native has struggled mightily since his arrival in the Premier League, and Tuchel’s presence has done him no favors in terms of his lack of output or consistency in the last two seasons.
Newcastle United, Juventus, and Atlético Madrid are the other three clubs linked with interest in Pulisic, but United seems to be at the head of the queue despite not tabling an offer at this stage.
Despite his lack of trust in Pulisic of late, Tuchel is said to want to keep hold of the American whose stance remains that he wants more minutes at Chelsea and would prefer to remain at Stamford Bridge.
With United possibly bidding fairwell to Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford, while Anthony Martial is laid up in dry dock with a hamstring injury, a loan move for Pulisic could be just the tonic after Ten Hag has listed a versatile wide player as one of the five positions he wants to strengthen before September.
