Manchester United splashed out £85m on Antony during the summer transfer window of 2022, with the South American following former coach Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford.
Antony had a bright start to life in England, scoring in a win over Arsenal, but his displays have been inconsistent since and he is currently sidelined with an injury.
It is now being suggested that Ten Hag will return to Amsterdam for Ajax star, Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus has scored 15 and assisted three in 30 outings for Ajax this term, operating as a no.10, centre-forward and right-winger.
The Ghanian also shone at the 2022 World Cup, where he scored twice in three games.
And now, Dutch legend Marco van Basten believes the talented 22-year-old would represent better business for the Red Devils than Antony.
“Antony may be faster, but Kudus is smarter and more technical. He is much more of a footballer, you can place him anywhere on the pitch, an all-rounder for the team. In fact, I like him much better than Antony. He’s more fun to watch play.”
