On-loan Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi has provided an insight into the input of Blues owner Todd Boehly in his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Wide-man Hudson-Odoi, on the books in west London for a full 15 years now, is currently in the midst of a first-ever stint lining out for another club.

After stringing together just 11 Premier League starts under the watch of Thomas Tuchel last season, the decision was made that the England international’s development would be best served with weekly game-time in one of Europe’s top-5 leagues.

Hudson-Odoi, in turn, made the move to Germany, linking up with Bayer Leverkusen for the 2022/23 campaign.

And he has since gone on to notch a pair of Bundesliga starts, with an assist to the 21-year-old’s name, too.

If the latest comments on the part of Hudson-Odoi himself are anything to go by, though, then it appears altogether unlikely that the attacker’s talents will still be on display at the BayArena beyond next summer.

Nevertheless, it has been suggested by some sources in the media that, in the case of the London native sufficiently impressing over the course of the season ahead, the transfer team at the North Rhine-Westphalia could seek fresh negotiations with their Chelsea counterparts over an extended deal.

Speaking to the Daily Mail this weekend, though, Hudson-Odoi confirmed that new Pensioners owner Todd Boehly has already ruled out such a possibility, insistent that the youngster remains part of the long-term vision at Stamford Bridge:
